Gamay

Newstime:2009-09-01 05:52:48  Befrom:  Writer:
The Gamay grape variety makes its best wines in the Beaujolais region of France. Its wines tend to be violet , low in alcohol, high in acidity and very fruity. Delicate, fresh aroma of pear and violet flower , light bodied . It is better for drink when young, and has aromas of pears, bananas and gum . Wines produced from granite, schist and porphyry soil tend to have more body and could be cellared for more than 5 years.
