Tasting Note: |
Wine Advocate#171(4/2007) Rating: 92Points Drink: 2012-2025
This somewhat under-the-radar classified growth has produced a dense ruby/purple-colored 2004 with superb density of black currant and cherry fruit intermixed with subtle herbs, licorice, and forest floor characteristics. Medium to full-bodied, rich, and muscular, it is an atypically powerful 2004 that should be at its finest between 2012-2025. It is a sleeper of the vintage. -Robert Parker
Wine Spectator(3/31/2007) Score: 90
Aromas of blackberry and cigar box. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, caressing finish. Balanced, with lovely mouthfeel. Consistently outstanding. Best after 2010. 5,500 cases made. –JS
Decanter Rating:
Fine deep colour, fine floral fruit and length, less robust but more elegant than Gloria, a classic Saint-Julien. Drink 2010-25. (17.5 points)
