Tasting Note: |
Wine Advocate # 149(2003-10) Rating: (88-90) Drink 2005 - 2015
This fruity, up-front St.-Julien lacks the structure found in most 2002 Medocs, but it compensates for that with a supple, fruit-forward style, and excellent, herb-tinged, leathery, blackberry and cherry notes. Medium-bodied and pure, it will be at its finest between 2005-2015. -Robert Parker
Wine Spectator (3/31/2005) Score: 87
A wine with pretty currant, mineral and berry character. Medium-bodied, with a good core of ripe tannins and a medium finish. Solid. Slightly disappointing. Best after 2008. 25,000 cases made. –JS
Decanter Rating:
Quite floral and lively. Quite restrained style, elegant, cedary blackcurrant fruit, shows lightness of year but with plenty of elegance. Drink 2008-12. (15.5 points) |
