Wine Advocate #140(2002-4)
Two corked bottles were bad enough, and I was unable to secure a third prior to this report. Judgment reserved. -Robert Parker
Wine Spectator (2002/3/31) Score: 88
A lovely, silky wine with plenty of layers of ripe tannins and subtle fruit. Medium-bodied. Fresh finish. Well done. Good buy. Best after 2003. 16,665 cases made. –JS
Chateau Tasting:
Deep-red colour and elegant, floral bouquet, with leather and tobacco overtones. It starts out with soft flavours, developing into a round, fruity structure, and a lovely ripe-fruit aftertaste. The fine tannin is typical of Saint-Julien and the wine's concentrated extract is balanced by its body. A pleasant, long aftertaste with gentle hints of oak.
