Tasting Note: |
Wine Advocate#104(1996-4) Rating: (86-88) points Drink: 1996 - 2004
This well-known estate appears to be aiming for greater richness and ripeness, without sacrificing the wine's up-front, flattering precociousness or opulent texture. The 1994 exhibits a deep ruby color with purple nuances. It possesses excellent ripeness for the vintage, medium body, spicy oak, and a soft, lush, jammy, open-knit texture. The wine's low acidity suggest it should be drunk over the next 7-8 years. -Robert Parker
Wine Spectator (1997/1/31) Score: 84
Chewy and tannic. Medium-bodied, with an almost raisiny character, fluid midpalate, and tannic finish. Better in 1999.
