Tasting Note: |
Chateau Tasting :
A dark garnet colour. A bouquet with hints of wood and fruit. Pleasantly full in the mouth. The tannins are still closed up but they already reveal a tremendous potential for aging. A well balanced wine. Satisfyingly long in the mouth. Maturity: 2006 to 2016. 55% Cabernet Sauvignon ; 45% Merlot
Wine Advocate#134(4/30/2001) Rating: 88 points Drink: 2004-2018
Bottled in April, 2000, this elegant, stylish, graceful wine is an attractive, dark ruby/purple-colored effort with subtle notes of sweet oak, licorice, herbs, and black fruits. While not massive, it is medium-bodied and ripe, with sweet tannin. Forty-eight percent of the production was utilized in this blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. - Robert Parker
Wine Spectator (1/31/2001) Score: 87
Gorgeous spice, berry and cherry aromas. Medium- to full-bodied, with plenty of good fruit and medium tannins, but a slightly hollow midpalate. Best after 2005. 20,830 cases made. –JS
