Tasting Note: |
Wine Advocate #164(4/2006) Rating: 88 points Drink: 2006-2016
The only time I tasted the 2003 Reserve de la Comtesse out of bottle, it was somewhat monolithic and superficial, but charming and well-endowed. A 46% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc cuvee, it is well-made and can be over the next 8-10 years. -Robert Parker
Wine Spectator (3/31/2006) Score: 84
Aromas of currants, berries and light tobacco follow through to a medium-bodied palate, with light cedar and earth. Good but not exciting. Second wine of Pichon-Lalande. Best after 2007. –JS
