Tasting Note: |
Wine Advocate #158 (4/2005) Rating: 81 points Drink: 2005 - 2011
I had hoped for more based on cask tastings, but tasted twice from bottle, the 2002 comes across as a relatively one-dimensional Pauillac with pleasant currant flavors intermixed with tobacco leaf, cedar, and spice. It is medium-bodied but short and lacking persistence as well as depth. Drink it over the next 5-6 years. -Robert Parker
Wine Spectator (3/31/2005) Score: 88
This shows an impressive nose of blackberries, flowers and vanilla. Medium- to full-bodied, with a good core of ripe tannins and a fresh, fruity finish. Slightly short but nicely done for the vintage. Best after 2007. 13,830 cases made. –JS
Decanter Rating:
Composed nose with evidence of a good depth of underlying fruit. Juicy, flowing, with a confident persona. Tannins very well judged. Drink 2010-20. (17 points) |
