Tasting Note: |
Wine Advocate # 134 (4/1/2001) Rating: 89 points Drink: 2003-2016
This austere, medium-weight Lynch Bages reveals notes of new saddle leather, tobacco, olives, and black fruits. Although not a big, concentrated Pauillac, it is graceful, elegant, with character and style. - Robert Parker
Wine Spectator (1/31/2001) Score: 90
Extremely well done. Dark, with lots of vanilla, strawberry, cherry and currant aromas. Full-bodied, with big, silky tannins and a long, caressing finish. Best after 2007.
Decanter Rating:
Sweet, creamy black fruits, mulberry notes, some leafiness. Excellent, pure fruit on the palate, long, harmonious. Still youthful, this is top class. Drink 2011-21. |
