Tasting Note: |
Wine Advocate#171(6/2007) Rating: 88 points
A charming, silky-styled offering, the 2004 Haut-Batailley, while somewhat superficial, is ideal for drinking over the next 10-12 years. Its dark ruby color is accompanied by sweet aromas of cranberry jam, cherries, and black currants. Ripe tannin, low acidity, and a light, silky finish result in a charming, seductive Pauillac. -Robert Parker
Wine Spectator (3/31/2007) Score: 88
A balanced red, with licorice and chocolate character. Medium-bodied, with a silky finish. A fine wine for early drinking. Best after 2007. 15,000 cases made. –JS
