Modern Bordeaux with clean berry and vanilla oak character. Medium-bodied, with a solid core of ripe tannins and a medium finish. A bit hollow but improving. Best after 2008. 1,500 cases made. –JS

The Wine Doctor (11/2004) Rating: 15.5+/20
Nutty oak aromas over a layer of fruit. Ripe and soft character on the palate, lacking a little concentration I think. Moderated weight, and it has balance. Actually develops a full, creamy feel through the midpalate. There is a little style here, although this is quite primary at present. Needs 3-4 years.

Guide Hachette des Vins de France:
Roasted notes of a very good aging. Becomes more powerful on the palate. Round and charming beginning, the mid-palate becomes more powerful. Excellent balance and aromas. Good mighty tannins.
