Tasting Note: |
Wine Spectator (3/31/2007) Rating: 87
Aromas of plum and blackberry. Medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a medium finish. A bit lean, but caressing and refined. Best after 2008. 1,250 cases made. –JS
Decanter Rating:
Fine deep colour, deeply extracted concentration of blackcurrant fruit, plummy and ripe, quite rich, acidity and good tannins to provide balance. Drink 2010-20.
The Wine Doctor (10/2006) Rating: 17.5+/20
An elegant nose, with gently perfumed fruit and a little oak. Good style on the palate, supple structure, perfume and mineral character in a rather elegant style, nicely defined by correct acidity. Ripe and supple tannins. My palate prefers this to the 2003 vintage, but which ever way you look at it its another success for Claire Villars. Very good, excellent potential. From my 2004 Bordeaux assessment.
