Tasting Note: |
Chateau Taste (9/2002):
It was an excellent vintage of Pavillon Blanc, the most powerful since 1989. It is just starting to come out of its slightly austere, even difficult, phase, which always marks the beginning of the maturing of Pavillon Blanc in bottle. In our opinion, it is still a little early to drink it. It would be better to wait two years more.
Wine Spectator (4/30/1998) Score: 84
Big, fat and slightly flat. Full-bodied and lacking in acidity, with a apple, pineapple and marzipan character. Short aftertaste. Disappointing. Drink now. –JS
