Tasting Note: |
Wine Advocate#158(4/2005) Rating: 89 points Drink: 2005-2017
This wine may ultimately be superior to the 2003. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by a sexy concoction of melted licorice, black cherries, and currants intermixed with hints of tobacco, spice box, and earth. With medium body, excellent ripeness, and a pure, concentrated finish, it will provide attractive drinking now and over the next 10-12 years. -Robert Parker
Wine Spectator (3/31/2005) Score: 88
Plum and sweet tobacco aromas follow through to a medium- to full-bodied palate, with well-integrated tannins and a medium finish. Slightly hollow midpalate but a high quality wine. Best after 2007. 12,000 cases made. –JS
Decanter Rating:
Very deep purple colour, lots of blackcurrant fruit aromas, floral, soft and very plummy, attractive Merlot fruit, quite forward and supple. Drink 2005-12. (Tasted en primeur) |
