Tasting Note: |
Chateau Taste:
Light nose and gentle fruit. Worthy but not exciting. Slightly flabby.
Wine Spectator (1/1/2007) Score: 91
Shows loads of pretty blackberry and raspberry, with a smoky undertone. Full-bodied, with fine tannins, a lovely structure and a long finish. Still tight. Best after 2010. 6,500 cases made. –JS
Decanter Rating:
Superb colour, really fine and pure blackcurrant hue and deep Cabernet richness, very impressive for Durfort-Vivens, really fine fruit and a combination of finesse, length and power on the palate, which remains typically Margaux. A great success. Ready2007-2025 |
