Tasting Note: |
Wine Advocate #146 (2003-4) Rating: 86points Drink: now-2011
An uninspiring effort from one of my favorite estates, La Lagune's dark ruby-colored, elegant, medium-bodied 2000 reveals plenty of new oak, but lacks concentration, expansiveness, and persistence. It is a pretty wine, but short and insubstantial. - Robert Parker
Wine Spectator (3/31/2003)Score:89
Pretty berry, chocolate and vanilla character, with medium body, fine tannins and a silky finish. Lacks a bit of punch, but a very good wine. Best after 2006. 17,500 cases made. –JS
Decanter Rating:
Evocative sweet berry fruit and complementary oak. Luscious with density and depth. Finely coated tannins with a fine future ahead. Drink 5-10+ years. |
