Tasting Note: |
Wine Advocate#115 (2/1998) Rating: 84-86 points Drink: 2001-2008
Deeper and richer than the minty, red currant-scented, yet lean, angular 1995, La Tour-Carnet's 1996 exhibits a ruby/purple color, and sweet berry and currant fruit presented in an herb-tinged, spicy, medium-bodied format. Because of its moderate tannin, this wine will need 3-4 years of cellaring; it will keep a decade. -Robert Parker
Decanter Rating:
Spicy, harmonious, full of tannin. Lovely, long and silky, real class, excellent prospects. Drink 2-5 years. |
