Wine Advocate #170 (4/2007) Rating: 91-93 Drink:2009 - 2022
This 100% Merlot cuvee is carved out of Bernard Magrez’s La Tour-Carnet vineyard. Surprisingly tannic for a Merlot, it offers a deep purple color along with notes of scorched earth, blueberries, plums, figs, and cherries. Deep, fleshy, and medium to full-bodied with abundant tannin to shed, it needs 2-4 years of bottle age, and should keep for 12-15. - Robert Parker
